  1. The description of Ron Paul's position as isolationist is inaccurate.

    Isolationism suggests not merely a bias against the use of military force but a desire to avoid any engagement with the rest of the world, including trade, diplomacy, immigration, and cultural exchange. Ron Paul has never been an isolationist in that sense. Isolationism suggests an extreme version pacifism. That does not describe Paul either, since he supports the use of military force when it is necessary for national defense (following the 9/11 attacks, for example).
