Mark and I have been doing this weekly lunch for some months now. John knows that he’s invited, but for some reason my #1 son wants nothing to do with me anymore. OH WELL. 5/26/2009 5:54:19 AM KNOWLEDGE – TOOLS – POWER Learning or knowledge is a powerful word. When one achieves knowledge, one needs the tools to do so. Then when these words are mixed together, one has the power to accomplish whatever goals in life. How’s that for a loaded sentence. Yesterday, Sally & I spent all day at home. I used the tools to put over 12 + trash bags on our street for the city trash guys. I consider working outside my therapy. I probably saved our medical bill lots of $$$. I feel humbled to be able to work. Thanks be to GOD. Yesterday was Memorial Day. I only saw one person I knew, Sally, if she would honor me, being I’m a Veteran. She just laughed. She honors me all the time. We could have attended a number of ceremonies, but chose to stay home. Sally asked me last night what I used to do in my childhood over Memorial Day. I couldn’t recall. 5/22/2009 6:02:44 AM BACKYARD THERAPY: Why go see a shrink? Yesterday was another good day for my therapy. I spent most of my time cleaning the west end of our lot. So far I’ve created 10 trash bags, mainly tree brush and vines, etc. What was very interesting was I witnessed a family of robins. The male robin seemed agitated. So I looked around and could find no nest anywhere. Later the mother robin was feeding right in front of me. She had a chick next to her begging for food. I silently watched them for some time. Very interesting! Thank you GOD for bringing the birds in our world for all of us to enjoy. Camp GITMO and waterboarding is in the news. 5/21/2009 5:48:52 AM Thursday’s blog: Good morning self. Don’t forget to have lunch with BIG-M. I believe that it’s his turn .. correct? Our country’s financial straits are in dire straits! “A MATTER OF LIFE OR DEBT” That is the title of what’s on the FOX news channel at the moment. Sally & I are SO glad that we’ve decided to take our personal FINANCES under control. This month has been a budget buster. There’s a little thing called TAXES! I had to write a BIG check for our real estate and vehicle licenses. So, our home equity loan will most likely be a wash this month. I am reminded about watching a video on Dave Ramsey’s FPU. Getting out of debt is like using the crock-pot, instead of using the microwave. By back yard therapy continued yesterday. I was able to trim a tree overhanging and rubbing on our roof. 5/20/2009 5:53:47 AM Good Morning: Today I’m writing this without any coffee or food in my system. I’m to have my blood tested for Dr. Weyren, my cardiologist. The place doesn’t open until 8 AM , so I’ve got a couple of hours to gut it out. The first cup of coffee will sure taste good. Yesterday was spent most of the day in my backyard. I was reminded about a former president, Ronald Reagen, who liked to spend his spare time cutting brush on his ranch in California. I feel the same way, only we only have a city lot here in Topeka. I’m looking forward moving my weakly weekly video outside also. Sally is very pleased with her new pink camera. Our home homeowners insurance has a 1,000 deductible, so it’s a loss. Hopefully Sally has learned her lesson. My blood sugar has been behaving too. Why would anyone text while driving !!!??? I have in front of me a medical flyer titled “Should you take these life saving tests?” “don’t hesitate to ask your doctor” I got a call from my cardiologist regarding the ultra sound test taken a few days ago. I guess I’d better return the call. There’s TOO MANY things that need to be done BEFORE I kick the bucket. My dizziness continues. I also have a headache as I write. Perhaps my body is talking to me? Am I a prime candidate for a stroke? Yesterday I spent most all of the day in our backyard. My goal is to have at least 10 trash bags weekly. 5/17/2009 4:35:52 AM Dear Journal: Yesterday Sally lost her camera. She was with John & Madeline and left her camera somewhere out of sight. When she got back, the camera was gone. She called me from the Y and was upset. I told her NOT to be concerned about material things. So here is what I suggested to her. 1) Call John to tell Kim that I am NOT responsible for any images downloaded on the web. The reason I wanted to give the message to KIM is a disclaimer. I STILL am NOT welcome to get a HUG from my three year old grandchild. I see Madeline only through the lens of some media device. Sally had MANY images of Madeline. 5/15/2009 5:15:59 AM GOOD NEWS! My two brothers, Wes & Dale are doing OK! Wes had his left hip replaced yesterday and Dale had more exploratory surgery on his body looking for more blood clots. Thank you Jesus! Yesterday Sally and I had a romantic afternoon. We dropped Mark off at his place, then got some Church’s chicken around 10th Street close to the hospital. We then drove over to Gage park and ate our meal on a picnic table. On the way home we stopped at ACE hardware store for gardening seeds. Spent most of the day in the backyard, trying to get organized. Dear God: & Journal: 5/14/2009 6:25:46 AM Thank you for giving your ONLY son Jesus to die on the cross for us. I can’t imagine losing our two sons, John & Mark !! I pray daily for my immediate family. Some day I’ll get my son back in my life. John is my estranged son my Lord. I NEED John back as my son my Lord. Can you arrange that? 5/14/2009 5:12:47 AM Good Morning everyone: My journey through life continues. Yesterday I had my last torture .. er Therapy session at Rebound. Then last night I also attended an arthritis class at the same place. I learned a lot and thanked the staff for all their help. I do believe that my frozen left shoulder is an arthritic condition. I’m now on my own. The exercises are there for me to take action. If I choose NOT to perform these exercises, my arthritis will continue. I was able to swing a golf club!!! So let’s get back to work Myron Of course I shared our business card with anyone. Maybe someday we might get some positive results.

5/13/2009 6:31:15 AM Good Morning: Today is my last day at rebound physical therapy. I’m on my own here after. The left shoulder is still frozen. But with my own self will, determination and the right exercises I’m hoping to be unfrozen. The headaches and dizziness are still there. That is another health concern. A while back I told my cardiologist my dizziness concerns. Dr. Weyrens had me get a neck scan. No word yet on the results. That reminds me, I need to get a blood test. We Need to pray for my two brothers .. Wes & Dale. Wesley is going to have his left hip replaced this Thursday. Dale is going to have some more dye inserted in his body to see if they can find some more blockages. My diabetes is under control too. L8r Myron@myownfaith2.com

Happy Mother’s Day to all you Mothers out there. When I think of Mothers, I think of my mother, CeCe Holter. Mom just turned 95 this last Nov 1st. She is currently living at Greenleaf assisted living in Brookings SD. My mother is my goddess! I love my mother very much! Mom, you have ALWAYS been there for me. I don’t know how I could EVER pay you back for all the LOVE you have given me. You and my DAD have led me to Jesus in my life, and to that I am eternally grateful. Thanks again MOM

5/7/2009 5:07:17 AM My Journey continues: Yesterday I paid a visit to my Heart Dr., Dr. Weyren. I have been given a clean bill of health. So that made me feel good. I did asked him why am I having dizziness all the time? I explained by symptoms the other day about first getting up and being dizzy. So later today I’m to get another test. This one is to check out my head. My frozen should is still frozen. Sally & I drove over to the Willis home and we’re going to sing “DO LORD”. Charlene will play the mountain dulcimer, Ron the guitar, and Sal & I will sing. Should be a lot of fun. OH .. I’m to start taking aspirin again. Also, I’m to discontinue taking lisinoprol. That med. Dear Journal: It’s been a while since I’ve written in my journal. Life is good! Sally and I are on the road to being debt free! I’m still above ground although sometimes I wish I were six feet under. My dizziness continues. Yesterday I almost fell over myself when going to the bathroom. Anybody out there??!! Anybody care??!! I spent the whole day trying to understand my dizziness. But that didn’t stop me from heading on to the round-a-bout café for some FREE biscuits and gravy. I was able to take a picture of my city councilman, Bob Archer, along with my good friend Jim Cates. My laptop is back to good health too. Thanks to The Computer Store here at 21st & Gage. The keyboard was being uncooperative. The right arrow key was stuck on. Remember, all computers are like a machine. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that when you’re writing away and the cursor wants to head for right field. My quest upstairs is ongoing too. Sally’s office is a disaster. Our house is a disaster....

5/1/2009 6:35:04 AM COMPUTERS: You gotta love ‘em. My laptop has been fixed. The keyboard was going flaky I would start typing and the cursor would want to go to right field. So in my computer genius way, I was able to use my skills and wrote on a flash drive. When I got my laptop back, I then copy/pasted my writings (blogs) to the appropriate website.
