IT'S MONDAY

IT’S MONDAY: 9/14/2009 4:21:25 AM Yes indeed, it’s Monday for all you workers. And thank you for working. Because of you, I am able to stay retired. How does that make you feel? This last week for me has been quite eventful. I have written about my journey in my previous writings, so I’ll NOT go through that again. I look forward , not backward. I ran into a reliv distributor while wandering around the state fair. We knew some common distributors, like the Blazics. I was not about to tell her my relationship with them or my immediate upline. BAD story. RELIV is a wonderful business. All one needs to know about RELIV is to ask. Ask me about RELIV. Last Saturday was the “million mobster” march in DC. If it weren’t for my commitments here at home, I’d have loved to be a participant. We sang a fun song yesterday at rally day at our church. Signed, emayormy@myownfaith2.com

Volunteerism

VOLUNTEERISM: 9/2/2009 4:48:32 AM Being a volunteer is an AMERICAN thing to do. I have just volunteered to work at a booth at the Kansas State Fair this year in Hutchinson KS. The volunteer coordinator called me last night and I signed up, with Sally’s permission. Currently, there’s a movement going on in our country called the Tea Party Express. These AMERICANS are all volunteers. These volunteers are going to end up in Washington DC protesting our BO administration. Here is my message to our BO President: “PLEASE MR. PRESIDENT, PAY ATTENTION TO THESE VOLUNTEERS AND REPLY ACCORDINGLY.” These signs that the folks have made are not to be ignored. Now if you’ll all excuse me, I’ve got some volunteering work to do. emayormy@myownfaith2.com

It's Monday

IT’S MONDAY: 8/10/2009 5:10:29 AM Yes indeed, it’s Monday and my laptop needed to be rebooted. Our political world is turning UGLY! Healthcare is a big issue out there. Sally & I are under the Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield Program and also under the military Tri-Care West Insurance program. So if you were to ask us, we like our insurance just like it is. If I were to be in a town hall meeting healthcare gathering, I’d be just listening. Our Politicians are mainly of my philosophical beliefs. I guess I’m the silent majority. Now I hear on FOX TV news that they’re canceling town hall meetings. What’s up with that? We lost electricity last night for about 40 minutes. We thought that it would be a long time before we got the juice back. I am so thankful to have the juice back so quick. Sally and I actually had to have a voice conservation without TV, Radio, computers, etc. Imagine that !! There are shouting matches throughout our country. I don’t hear on the news any local shouti...

So Many websites .. So little time

8/4/2009 5:22:41 AM SO MANY WEBSITES .. SO LITTLE TIME: There is so much information out there on the web. As the webmaster for www.myownfaith2.com I need to keep going back to our mission statement. Yesterday I was able to scan my DD214 and let the military review board know about it. I made a blog also. Yesterday I also attended a newly formed Topeka 912 project. I’m on the states right committee. Sally is worried that I’m into too many things. Guess I’ll reread an email from brother Dale regarding being retired. It’s an appropriate email for me. I hear on the news that my beloved USPS is also losing lots of $$$ At least my retirement check arrives in our bank monthly. www.prc.gov is the web address to learn more. Guess I’d better post this and get to work … WAIT !! I’m RETIRED!! MYRON@MYOWNFAITH2.COM

Technology

8/3/2009 5:09:33 AM HOLD ON! My DVR on my TV is recording everything in sight! I’ll write more later. WHEW!! I was manually erasing a series of programs and pushing a lot of buttons on my remote. Then I realized I had created a “series” of programs, “Glenn Beck” and “local government”. I found the remote button to erase the series and merely deleted the future recordings. It reminded me of a typical guy .. not following the rules of recording. It’s amazing how this technology in 2009 works! I miss the rotary telephone, party lines and black and white TVs. NOT REALLY Today is the first day of the rest of our lives and it’s also payday for us retirees. So I’ll need to move my laptop upstairs and do some productive work. Also, I told Mark that I’ll set him up with his own business. I take my promises to anyone very seriously. Guess I’d better get busy myron@myownfaith2.com

My Bruce SD Journey

Image
7/23/2009 9:42:04 PM BRUCE SD Here we are in Bruce SD. Mark and I left around 10:00 AM from Topeka KS and arrived in Bruce around 6:30 PM We booked it! Or should I say I booked it, Mark does not drive. We drove right up to Delph & Leland’s and from there we went up to the ridge to eat supper. I showed Mark what I’d like to have him do with the granary writings. We’ll see if he gets his artistry done in time to make a float. I seriously doubt it. But Mark enjoys art and I’m always ready for him to share his skills with anyone. He brought his designs with him and I brought my website. So, between the two of us, we’re a team. I’m tired and I’m going to brush my teeth and go to bed. Tomorrow is a big day. No Internet from this computer, so I’ll need to upload my writings when I get home. Myron 7/24/2009 5:03:35 AM Well, here it is my usual time in getting up. While the coffee is brewing, I’ll write a little bit of our days journey. We met up with Pastor Wayne at the ridge. He was ...

My Journey

7/23/2009 5:38:48 AM MY JOURNEY: I’ll be away from my blogging for a few days. My hometown of Bruce SD celebrates an annual celebration called Honey Days. I’ll bring my laptop and a few other things, like underwear, etc. Thanks to my gal Sal for allowing me to leave. myron@myownfaith2.com

Another Trip to Bruce SD

7/22/2009 6:05:21 AM OH NO .. ANOTHER TRIP! Yes indeed, another trip to Bruce SD is in the works! As many of you may or may not know, I’m running for e-PREZ. I’ve been running for e-prez for many years. 2009 is no exception. Dave Berry would be proud! So if you’ll excuse me, I’ve gotta go find a t-shirt … L8r myron@myownfaith2.com

Memory Lane

7/19/2009 7:05:00 AM MEMORY LANE: Yesterday was a little bit of memory lane day. Sally & I attended the Mexican Fiesta last night and we ran into Patty Valdivia. When I was working for the USPS, Patty used to be right next to me in the computer room. We haven’t seen each other for years. It was fun going over the folks who have either retired or passed away. Today Sally is going to do a duet with another OSLC member. I need to have my arthritic shoulder looked into! .. UFFDA Our family room is a mess! Myron@myownfaith2.com

The Day After

7/8/2009 6:35:20 AM Yesterday was Sally’s 62nd birthday. We (Sally, Mark & myself) went to Timberline for a BD celebration. Yesterday was also Michael Jackson’s memorial service. Yes, I watched it on TV, along with one billion other viewers. I was mostly touched my MJ’s daughter Paris calling him “DADDY” and Brooke Shield’s testimonial. I was able to film a surprise birthday greeting for Sally at the YMCA. I’ll make a video blog in the future Our singing voices have been in the public as of late. Saturday we sang in the community choir. Sunday we sang in a quartet. This coming Sunday Sally & I will be doing a duet. WOW Absent from Sally’s birthday greetings was our # 1 son I guess he forgot. It is well with my soul

6/26/2009 7:14:02 AM DEAR GOD: It is well with my soul. I am currently listening to Lori Line playing on the piano that song. My mind goes back years ago to my father, Adolph G. Holter. This was my DAD’s favorite song, among many others. We were at Mount Carmel one year at a chapel service and they played this song. I remember my father looking back at me and smiling. He knew and I knew that it is well my soul. Can I have this song played at my funeral? That’s about it for my daily blog. myron@myownfaith2.com
