POLITICS-RELIGION & SEX 9/30/2009 4:59:58 AM That’s a loaded subject! Let me start with RELIGION. Last night Sally was invited to a farewell supper for our pastor. We met at the Thomas sisters’ home. Spouses are invited also. Pastor Meggan’s last day as Pastor will be Oct 4th, 2009. Our church’s web address is http://www.oslctopeka.org We will miss her and the family very much. I asked her what she had plans for her future. She answered that her plate is empty. I guess that means no plans. I made an observation that our last interim pastor just died. I’m sure there’s an opening for ELCA interim pastors. We laughed over my statement. It’s fun to be with friends. While we’re speaking of religions, I am not an ELCA Lutheran. I’m an AFLC Lutheran. My membership and finances go to Grace Lutheran Bruce SD. Long story. But to make a long story short, I do not like the direction the ELCA is taking. The AFLC is more to my traditional upbringing. I still attend church at OSLC. ...

AMAZING GRACE: 8/11/2009 4:56:41 AM Amazing grace will lead me home. I love that song. I also love all those Christian songs, like Onward Christian Soldiers, etc. Our church here in Topeka KS, WWW.OSLCTOPEKA.ORG does not sing that song. In fact, I don’t know if any of the ELCA in the Lutheran faith sings that song anymore. WHY NOT? I want that song sung at my funeral, just for spite. Today, I’m going to meet up with my good friend Paul D. and we’re going to a town hall meeting in Tongonaxie KS to hear our state Senator Sam Brownback. Will I need to bring a gun? Hopefully the meeting will be peaceful. I’ll snap a few pictures if I remember to bring my camera. It’s scary out there. I’ve been watching FOX news and the liberals are going ballistic. 2/26/2009 4:47:29 AM ASH WEDNESDAY: Last night I attended Ash Wednesday services at our church. I noticed our Vice President had ashes on his forehead. I did not notice any ashes on our BO president. Lent is a time to remove any concerns and burn them. I scanned my note to GOD and will burn them at OUR church in my backyard. Sally was teary eyed last night. Her mother passed away during Lent many years ago. I lost my DAD over Easter. Those loved ones who have departed from us earlier comes to mind. I’m asking GOD to remove ALL anger I have to John & Kim for not being allowed to see my only grandchild.. Sadly written, Myron
