7/23/2009 9:42:04 PM BRUCE SD Here we are in Bruce SD. Mark and I left around 10:00 AM from Topeka KS and arrived in Bruce around 6:30 PM We booked it! Or should I say I booked it, Mark does not drive. We drove right up to Delph & Leland’s and from there we went up to the ridge to eat supper. I showed Mark what I’d like to have him do with the granary writings. We’ll see if he gets his artistry done in time to make a float. I seriously doubt it. But Mark enjoys art and I’m always ready for him to share his skills with anyone. He brought his designs with him and I brought my website. So, between the two of us, we’re a team. I’m tired and I’m going to brush my teeth and go to bed. Tomorrow is a big day. No Internet from this computer, so I’ll need to upload my writings when I get home. 7/19/2009 7:05:00 AM MEMORY LANE: Yesterday was a little bit of memory lane day. Sally & I attended the Mexican Fiesta last night and we ran into Patty Valdivia. When I was working for the USPS, Patty used to be right next to me in the computer room. We haven’t seen each other for years. It was fun going over the folks who have either retired or passed away. Like my oldest brother Wes, I’d still propose to you again, some 40 years ago. Last night I was sitting in the whirlpool at Sally’s Y and ran across a young lady, Sonya, with two boys, ages under ten years ago. She is a single mom getting ready to go to divorce court. She told me about all the bad stuff her X has done. He’s into violent video games and even shares these with her two boys. He’s also into Internet porn. What a loser! Makes me glad to have a stable marriage. I guess divorce court is also very expensive, I’ve been told. So after the whirlpool visit, I gave her our card. 7/12/2009 6:06:11 AM KANSAS KOYOTES: Well, it appears that our Koyotes will be playing in another championship game this year. I wrote a check to Ralph Adams too for next year. This is a want in our budget and it’s also a little father/son bonding. I enjoy sitting next to the opponents watching the coaches and players various emotions. 7/8/2009 6:35:20 AM Yesterday was Sally’s 62nd birthday. We (Sally, Mark & myself) went to Timberline for a BD celebration. Yesterday was also Michael Jackson’s memorial service. Yes, I watched it on TV, along with one billion other viewers. I was mostly touched my MJ’s daughter Paris calling him “DADDY” and Brooke Shield’s testimonial. I was able to film a surprise birthday greeting for Sally at the YMCA. I’ll make a video blog in the future Our singing voices have been in the public as of late. Saturday we sang in the community choir. Sunday we sang in a quartet. This coming Sunday Sally & I will be doing a duet. WOW Absent from Sally’s birthday greetings was our # 1 son I guess he forgot. 7/1/2009 5:49:43 AM Good Morning! The future of our state and country is not yet lost. Yesterday we met at the round-a-bout café , 21st and Urish. We call our selves the 912 group. I call us the tea party folks. You can call it whatever you’d like. I offered my computer services. OK .. I have a boil on my face. Sally read to me from webmd and the verbage and photos describe it to a tea. UGLY And here we are getting ready for the 4th of July. Sally and I are going to be singing with the Grace Episcopal church folks along with other churches. Last year I had to sit in the front row. Steve, the choir director for Grace suggested that the first tenors sit in front. We have a shortage of tenors, as usual. I’ll ask him if he wants an ugly tenor in the front row. My visit to the Drs. Office yesterday was NOT FUN!! He lanced my boil and I’m now on medication and currently trying to make it drain. I believe I took a photo of myself and posted it to my blog.
